Dress for Success Quad Cities gets $10,000 grant

Dress for Success Quad Cities has been awarded a $10,000 grant to provide funding for the “Next Step to Success Project.”

“The goal of the project is to provide high-quality, reliable services delivered just in time as a low-resource woman faces a critical transition point — an interview and/or new job,” said Mandie Sanders, media contact. “Then, Dress for Success follows up with ongoing professional and career development so that the changes she has begun have a chance to take root and grow.”

Dress for Success Quad Cities gets $10,000 grant

he grant came from the Quad Cities Regional Economic Development Authority with revenue from Rhythm City Casino. QCREDA has provided grant support for Dress for Success since it opened in 2011.

Dress for Success is an international nonprofit organization that works to help women achieve economic stability. According to its website, Dress for Success provides business clothing, job search support, mentoring and professional development programs to “help break a cycle of poverty.”
